History

2025

June 2025
After the amazing inagural year, Florida Critter & Trainer Contest LLC is dissolved, transferring all assets to Collared Flamingo Society Inc., and FL Critter and Trainer Contest is filed as a DBA. This was done so that the contest isn’t owned by individuals – it is instead owned and run by an organization formed with the intent of filing as a 501c3 before the end of 2025.

Fun Facts

The original founder of Florida Leather n Fetish Pride (FLFP), Master Joe Mastrapasqua, was also a co-founder and executive producer of International Puppy Contest (IPC), which per IPC was effectively merged into International Puppy and Trainer Contest (IPTC) after his passing. IPC was held for at least one year at Tampa Leather n Fetish Pride, the name FLFP was originally known by.

In 2012, Florida Puppy Contest was founded by Pup Otter (now known as Sir Topher) and Sir Shadow (now known as Master Shadow), and debuted at FLFP in 2013 for the 2014 title year. Sheba was elected Florida Puppy 2014, and she holds the distinction of being the first Florida Puppy. In 2017, stewardship of Florida Puppy Contest was passed to its current owners and producers, Pup Dobber and Sir Wade.

Florida Critter and Trainer Contest LLC was founded in 2024 by the same folks that co-founded Florida Kink Community LLC, after being given stewardship of the Critter title by Pup Turtle and MX Voss in 2023. Florida Kink Community LLC’s main goal is to bring the broader kink community together to provide opportunities and accessibility through resource and information sharing between our diverse communities.

Handler Chris
He/Him

Handler Chris, your IPTC International Trainer 2023, is quick to admit that Handlers are best described as “Chaos Directors”. Prior to being elected IPTC International Trainer, he was elected Florida Puppy Handler 2022. Handler Chris currently lives in Tampa, FL, USA with his partners and pups Puppy Stolas and Pup Nallen. As a co-founder of NCF-PAH and Florida Kink Community, he’s always looking for ways to support safe, sane, consensual, and inclusive communities and events, listening for ways we can do better, and quick to ask “how can I help?”
