Titleholder Expectations & Prize Package
The mission of the Florida Critter and Trainer Contest is to provide a fun space for healthy competition, a platform for education, and a spotlight to bring increased visibility of all Critter/Pet play modalities.
We hope that through investment and development of this contest that we can help foster more understanding of the various headspace types present in our diverse community.

Expectations of the Titleholder & First Runner-Up
During their title year, Titleholders are representatives of Florida Critter and Trainer Contest LLC and Florida Kink Community at large, and agree to:
- Maintain positive public presentation in all areas (person, social media, legal, etc). Proven instances of Discriminatory or Prejudicial statements or behaviors, non-consensual actions, bullying, and/or abuse to others will not be tolerated.
- Interact with and engage in the community at large, without bias or prejudice (e.g., race / ethnicity / sex / sexuality / gender identity / creed / bodily ability / socioeconomic status and others not mentioned), and to actively encourage people to attend our other organized events.
- Appear in community marketing materials when requested, within reasonable expectations.
- Maintain open communication with, and guidance from, contest producers and Florida Critter staff as questions or concerns arise. towards this end, a 1 hour teleconference will be required every two months to provide space for this.
- Attend one fundraiser event for Florida Critter or Florida Kink Community and act as a volunteer in operation and promotion thereof. Schedules or dates will be given for qualifying fundraiser events no less than 2 months in advance. The Title holder may choose to organize additional fundraiser events, but this is not a requirement.
- Produce and teach a minimum of one 1-hour educational class at an event within the state of Florida during the title year. Class outline and teaching materials should be provided to contest producers when available. This is an educational title, and as such we want title holders to understand that the greater community may have higher expectations than our minimum.
- Visit and represent the title at least once in each of the following Metropolitan regions: Tampa/St. Pete, Orlando, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville/Gainesville
- Attend the contest at the end of their title year to: Deliver a step-aside speech, and hand off legacy regalia to their title child.
Should the title holder fail to complete these expectations, to represent the community in good faith, or present an image or view that is counter to the ideals of the contest and our community, the title may be revoked. In such circumstances, the title may then be granted to the first runner-up. In such a case, First runner up will then fulfill the expectations of the title for the duration of the title year. An amended list of expectations will be provided, dependent on situation, length of time, and available remaining resources for the title year.
Prize Package for Titleholders
Title holders for each category shall receive from Florida Critter Contest:
- 8” Title Patch.
- Title medallion.
- $500 Cash prize. Half to be provided up front, and half upon stepping down the following year.
- Access to Florida Critter Contest Travel Fund (available amount determined by raffle ticket sales and auction returns).
First runner up for each category shall receive From Florida Critter Contest:
- 6” embroidered patch.
- 1st runner up medallion.
Additional prize package items may be generously provided by sponsors. Such items will be included at the grace of the sponsor and the discretion of the Florida Critter Contest Board.
Should the title holders complete the title holder expectations, they will be asked to return the year following their step-aside to assist in the contest production for that year (as a judge or staff). Should the title holder accept this additional responsibility, they may be formally invited to become part of the contest organization.
